EXPERIENCED PRECISION GEAR CUTTER
Job Description:
- Set up and operate precision small to medium hobbers and shapers.
- Run and measure gears to AGMA 9- AGMA 13.
- Machines include Mikrons, Barber Coleman, Pfauder, Fellows, CNC Bourne & Koch.
Qualifications for Gear Cutter Position:
- 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS GEAR CUTTER SETUP AND OPERATOR
- Capable of precision conventional hobber and shaper setup.
- Able to optimize setups and troubleshoot problems.
- Must understand gear inspection.
- Must know how to set-up and operate a CNC gear hobber or be capable and willing to learn.
- Must be able to operate multiple machines and be capable of handling both single part and production jobs.
Gear position offers advancement to lead position, commensurate with ability.

We have immediate openings for the following positions:
Injection Molding Set-Up Technician: Set-up and start-up of injection molding machines.
Includes hanging molds, water and hydraulic connections, some processing, initial start-up and
some mold maintenance. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Mold Maker: We produce pre-hard and aluminum ejection and wax tooling. The ideal
candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision and must be a team player. Experience
in CNC programming, EDM, Wire EDM and SurfCAM a plus.
CNC Machinist: Fast growing prototype shop looking for creative, capable, energetic CNC programmer/machinist.
Programmer/machinists responsible for parts from CAD file through, finished part, through inspection.
Typical runs of one to a few parts. Programming with leading edge CAM software (HyperMill). 3-5 axis high speed machining,
some turning and some manual machining. An exciting new process, Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) available to learn
QC Inspector: checks, tests, and instrument inspection of incoming materials, work in process and finished
molded and machined parts as well as other duties as assigned. Prepare and complete required paperwork to document
inspection results. Familiarity with basic inspection tools and ability to interpret customer drawings required.
Mechanical background and attention to detail needed. Molding and/or machine shop experience with geometric tolerances
and CMM inspection preferred.
All skilled positions require a minimum of 5 years experience.

Machinist II
1. Set-Up, program and operate machine tools specific to Labsphere's shop
2. Maintains proficiency in reading blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals.
3. Responsible for basic set-up and thought process for sequence of operations.
4. Verifies and meets conformance of finished work.
5. Meets or exceeds standard times for on time delivery
Key Accountabilities
Ability to design and fabricate fixtures and tools for specific jobs and calculate speeds and feeds,
depth of cut, and proper coolant for the different materials used at Labsphere.
Reads blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions
and tolerances of finished part, sequence of operations, and setup and tooling requirements. Demonstrates basic
set-up and thought process for sequence of operations.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow,
and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine
controls or control media as required.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using the appropriate measuring equipment.
Understands how, or able to learn, to use optical comparator height gauge, sine plate, indicators, micrometers,
verniers, depth micrometers, bore gauges, etc
Meets or exceeds standard times for on time delivery.
Follows Labsphere's safety policy in the machining area
Other duties as assigned
